A Grand Cru Champagne Tasting with Antoine Paillard (8th generation owner of Champagne Pierre Paillard) Monday 14th March 2016
酒庄 JIU ZHUANG is proud to host Antoine Paillard, the 8th generation descendent of the family-owned Champagne Pierre Paillard.
Located in Bouzy, in the historical heart of Champagne, the Paillard family has tended to some of the vineyards for nearly 250 years. Today, the Pierre Paillard vineyards are spread over 11 hectares (28 acres) on the prestigious Bouzy terroir. They are composed of 30 Grand Cru plots, averaging 30 years of age, 60% with Pinot Noir and 40% with Chardonnay, depending on the soil and the exposure to the sun.
This one-night only event is priced at $30++. Enjoy the up close and personal experience with Antoine Paillard, with free flow tasting of the Brut NV, Brut Rose NV, Brut Blanc de Blancs 2009, Brut Millesime 2004. Promotional prices for bottles of the Champagne will also be available during this evening.

The winery’s Ambassador, Giovanni Oliva, will showcase a range of bubblies from the highly lauded prosecco winery. Priced at only $40, guests will enjoy free flow of Italian bubblies with light snacks, as well as special bundle prices.
The Proseccos showcased are: Rustico N.V. (751), Primo Franco 2014 (75cl), Primo Franco 2014 (75cl) and Grace di Stecca 2011 (75cl). During this evening, there will be bottles of Nino Franco Prosecco offered at attractive bundle prices.

The Chinese certainly know a thing or two about producing alcoholic beverages having dabbled with the 'happy stuff' for several centuries or more, but in recent years, an increasing number of Chinese Wine Connoisseurs have turned their attention to producing western world wines that rival the best 'old world' offerings from Europe; their products have put China on the world map and have sealed the country's intent of positioning itself as a serious producer of world class wines.
Founded in 1997, Grace Vineyard was the brainchild of Mr.CK Chan and legendary Bordeaux Oenologist Monsieur Denis Boubals. Together, they selected 60 hectares of prime land (just South of the Shanxi province) for its excellent terrain and favorable provincial weather conditions. It was on this land that the greatest wine producer in China was born.
Using only the finest low yield Bordeaux grape varieties, the wines are aged in American and French oak and released only after final bottle fining. The result is smooth, sophisticated and undeniably high quality.
Today, Grace Vineyard is global acknowledged by the wine fraternity's international media, including renowned wine writers like Jancis Robinson, Robert Parker and specialized wine publications such as Wine Spectator. The Vineyard is managed under the watchful eye of Madam Judy Leissner (Mr. CK Chan's daughter) and continues to wow the world with spectacular wines that are proudly Chinese yet unquestionably world class in every aspect.
